reggae and dance hall

hi. I'm just here wondering how many of you out there have heard of reggae and dance hall. Please note that this is very, very different from techno! I just find it surprising that so few people know about such an excellent genre of music and in the US, most of the people I've spoken to have never heard of it. What say you all, then.
